Miss USA Kara McCullough Says Healthcare is a 'Privilege' Not a 'Right,' Twitter Reacts
New Miss USA Kara McCullough is causing a stir on social media with the answer to one of her questions during the top five of the competition.
Miss District of Columbia – who was crowned the winner moments ago – was asked if US healthcare is a right or a privilege.
“I’m definitely going to say it’s a privilege. As a government employee, I’m granted health care. And I see firsthand that for one, to have health care, you need to have jobs, so therefore we need to continue to cultivate this environment so that we’re given the opportunities to have health care as well as jobs for all Americans worldwide,” she said. Of course, the healthcare debate is ongoing in America and Donald Trump is working to repeal Obamacare.
